As an adult, so much is required when finding employment.
We offer a customer-centered approach to training and education by connecting necessary adult basic education, occupational training, career and academic advising for students to prepare for, obtain, and progress in a career. This includes counseling and supportive services to help an individual in achieving their overall goals.
For ages 18 and above, our Adult Workforce Program offers:
- Career Exploration – The course includes job search strategies, resume building, career readiness and exploration through planning using S.M.A.R.T. goals, self-presentation, earning potential analysis, mock interviewing, interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurship training.
- Workforce Readiness Training – During training, learners develop employment strategies and an appropriate job-seeking approach depending on their education, skill level, and personal circumstances. Trainees eliminate barriers to job readiness and enhance employability skills while creating a career pathway plan which outlines position, salary, and training requirements to advance in the environmental industry.
- Job Placement Assistance – Our Employment Specialist identifies, researches, and established partnerships with area employers in a multitude of industries. Businesses seek our graduates to continue along a successful career path in line with their interests and abilities. The Employment Specialist evaluates job seekers, review and enhances resumes, and coordinates interviews for a streamlined hiring process.
